Hey folks,

So I wanted to create a little guide that I have used to create nearly all of my brand logos over the last decade that still works great today even with the inflow of new AI solutions.

The service I use is https://www.48hourslogo.com/

For $129 dollars you can launch a logo design contest where you get hundreds of results to pick from.

Let's take a look at a recent contest to give you some context.

As you can, they found their winning logo after receiving 338 entries.

I have always found this process to be relatively quick and within 48 hours you will have your batch of designs to select from and choose a finalist to help you dial in any last minute design changes or colors before delivering the final files. I have even had as many as 5 iterations at this final stage with no issue and always a great result.

You simply describe your project and logo ideas and can even select a few previously designed logos on 48hourslogo to give designers early inspiration.

Yes you will get some crappy designs and some AI designs throughout this process, but there are still a tremendous amount of viable choices that again, can be tweaked in to achieve your final approach.

In terms of cost and time effectiveness, this is the best value that you will currently find on the internet for designing your logo in my opinion. I have tried a variety of other contest platforms including Freelancer and 99designs and always had to go back to 48 hours to finish the job.

Besides, trying to work with a single designer will never give you this type of selection within that short of a time-frame and in the fast world of crypto, time is money!

Let me know if you have any questions or if you know a logo building secret I might of missed!

Yeah, the problem with hiring a single person on like Upwork or Fiverr is that you only have a single creative mind trying to solve your problem vs having dozens, which is a great advantage, unless you already have a rockstar designer and he can one shot your logos.

I do expect AI to eventually take over the entire design industry very rapidly but at the moment, I still need that human touch to hit those top 5% results.

Now using both in combination is never a bad idea and it would be very easy for AI to produce a plethora of concepts which can then be refined with an actual designer to create your final logo.

Things have come a long way very quickly.... Not too long ago, we were hiring Fiverr gigs to stick our logo on premade templates for $5.

LLMs can work but can also be a costly waste of time - it all comes down to your prompting ability. Using your "rough bad" prompt as a LLM request to develop a detailed and "good" prompt shows a marked improvement in results.
